Reflect for a minute on the quiet presence of God, unobstructed by the worldly desires sought by mankind.

Craig Smith had a simple desire to draw people to that very place by creating Behind the Veil, an ambient musical recording that strongly encourages Christians to dwell in the presence of the Lord. There the believer's heart can truly commune with the Father's heart, resulting in fruitful ministry and genuine spiritual refreshing.

Behind the Veil draws its strength from the power of God's Word. The lyrics to all of the songs are taken almost entirely from Scripture. This stemmed from the desire to bring believers into close harmony with the Creator and to give spiritual direction, believing that God's Word serves as a "light unto our path".

Serious heart-changes only occur in a personal encounter with the Lord, and that is where Behind the Veil takes us. The passive listener is transformed into a worshipful participant.

Craig Smith has written and recorded eleven album projects with major record labels and has had several national top ten singles. He was nominated for the Dove award in the Best Worship album category in 1988 and named Sesac’s Inspirational Songwriter of the Year. He has recorded and written for various Integrity worship projects including those of Robin Mark and Paul Wilber.

Though he has had years of traveling in ministry, he has always been firmly rooted in a local church which he feels should be a requirement for any music ministry. Craig and his wife Dianna have just begun their tenth year pastoring in the very church which they have home based for almost two decades in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
